Pocket Yoga Teacher App Reviews

Yoga

I loved the original pocket yoga app but I got bored of the same routines. This app was great letting me make my own routines. I wish it was a little more user friendly. I also wish it counted calories like the original app. Also needs better connectivity to the apple watch. Other than that great app!

Excellent app

Very good, with good graphics, very unobtrusive sound and pose guidance. Building your routine takes a bit due to setting up everything, but it is well worth it and it speeds up once you get used to the organisational system. Changing it is a breeze and it makes improving your routine really easy. Have been using it for a while now and highly recommend it.

One of the best yoga apps out there!

Both apps pocket yoga and pocket yoga builder are great quality and its very easy to build your own sequence using the pictures which are very clear and you are also able to set the amount of breaths or time for each pose

One of a kind

Amazing app for yoga sequencing. Lots of poses to choose from, you can create repeating sections, adjust the tempo and how long each pose is held and even add music.

Great app!

Its super easy to create your own routines. Once you are finish you can roll out your mat and let the app play the routine as you try it. Also you can print it. Really cool!

Incredibly useful app!

This app is completely unique and useful! It provides a simple way to create a yoga practice and try it out. I use Pocket Yoga regularly and love how this app has amazing poses and instructions that I can use to make my own custom practices.

Pocket Yoga-Practice Builder is Fantastic!

I love Pocket Yoga-Practice Builder because it provides the flexibility to create my own routines, to modify them and to practice yoga at my own pace. It is the best Yoga app to reach perfection for body shape and mind. Each update makes this app even better. It is Fantastic!

Cool BUT..

So far its really cool and does exactly what I was looking for. What I wish it had... The ability to transfer your custom classes to the pocket yoga app so it can be synced with the Apple Watch OR just allow this app extension to sync with the watch. Also, I dont use iTunes I prefer Spotify so in order to upload music Im going to have to switch over to iTunes -__- Overall the app is great and has all the poses I was looking for. Im in the process of stating yoga teacher training so this is a great way for me to create my own flows and practice them at home with ease.

Amazing yoga app

I started using it in August and now 6 months later still use it 3 times a week. I love working out at home and being able to creat my own work out. Highly recommend this app!

Fantastic: easy and well designed

This is the best yoga app Ive tried. Its very easy to create routines, and to customize them down to every detail--music, length, vocal cues, background. It even allows you to build custom poses (rarely needed as their pose library is pretty extensive). My only request would be to share routines in the Pocket Yoga app, and more easily with friends who are also using these apps.

Great program with a few issues

Pocket Yoga Builder has a good library of poses and allows adding your own. The program allows creating loops for repetitive sequences such as Sun Salutations and allows setting time to hold poses specified as number of breathes or seconds. One distracting problem is not all poses has spoken names, such as Supine Pigeon, and a bell tone rings. I prefer to listen to instructions, wihout looking at my display during my practice, but th bell requires ckecking the screen to see the pose. Another annoying issue occurs in a loop where all poses have bells, such as in a loop with Supine Pigeon left and right, where the program skips a bell and you get out of sequence. The solution is to add a Corpse Pose, which has a spoken name, to the loop.

Needs to Play Nice with Pocket Yoga

I am a huge fan of Pocket Yoga and have been using it for some time. I love the idea that you acquire Karma points from completing a certain amount (15 minutes) of practice. As both Pocket Yoga and Pocket Yoga - Practice Builder are made by the same company (and sold as complimentary apps), I intuited that they would in some way or another compliment one another. Or at least to interact in any way whatsoever. I cant send my built practices to Pocket Yoga to use there. And I dont acquire any Karma from completing practices which I have created. I feel like this is an oversight. I should be able to create a practice in Builder and send that to Pocket Yoga to add to my repot pure of practices, thereby allowing me to gain karma. If Im just missing something and someone corrects me I will change this to five starts immediately. I also think that after spending $13 to get both apps that I should get a little free Karma. As others have pointed out, there is inconsistency in the voicing of the name of poses. Sometimes there is just a bell. Sometimes there isnt. There needs to be a setting allowing users to decide if each pose will be named, named and described, intoned, or nothing. Finally, I would pay another two bucks to get some extra voice over for common transitions between poses to make the created practices feel more natural.

Best Program for All Levels

Ive designed Yoga programs for friends, family, as well clients new to Yoga. Its diverse library has allowed me to upgrade their programs as their skills have increased all the while having the opportunity to still challenge myself.

Needs more polish

Its still a little rough around the edges. Editing practices can be a pain at times, but I totally love all the audio prompts I use.

Great app

Easy to use, and works great!

Really love this app!

Love being able to design my own yoga routine and play it via Apple TV. Not as easy to figure out the subtle components like how to cue the routine to describe poses during the routine so when adding poses I dont know as well I can get a verbal cue for it.
